Professional or not, nowaday everyone who’s serious about having a strong online presence has to deal with SEO. If you ever dabbled with SEO, you know how expensive all the tools can get. Luckily, there are countless of developers offering great SEO tools for free. Here’s our list of 21 best free SEO tools out there that will help you save time and boost your rankings.

1. Yoast SEO Plugin for WordPress

If you have any connection to digital marketing or SEO, you knew this one was coming. Though not without flaws, there’s a reason why this is among the most popular and widely used WordPress plugins. While it can’t handle all of your SEO activities, as some like to think, this plugin will still supercharge your SEO and offer tons of utility, both for total beginners and experts. From beginner’s perspective, being able to handle robots.txt or sitemaps without any coding knowledge required, is a huge plus. Even if you’re manually tweaking most of your stuff, there are tons of features that come in handy and save a lot of time. The only potential problem I see with Yoast is that it gives an illusion that it can take care of whole SEO for you which can trick a lot of people. It doesn’t. It’s a powerful tool, but it’s not the only tool you’ll ever need.

2. SEOquake Browser Extension (CHROME / FIREFOX)

All in all, I can’t recommend this enough. Just make sure to disable the plugin when you’re not using it, as it eats up a lot of your memory.
